An artistic and unforgettable dining experience A truly fascinating and unusual restaurant in Salzburg, with a very artistic and distinctive atmosphere. The place looks absolutely fantastic both during the day and in the evening, and the entire concept creates a very special experience. The food is gourmet, beautifully presented and very good. The service was also good overall, although our experience changed depending on the person serving us. At first, we were assisted by a young man who seemed rather inexperienced and not entirely sure how to handle everything. Later, another gentleman took over our table, and the difference was remarkable. It was immediately clear that he had considerable experience, and we were extremely happy with his professionalism, attention and attitude. He genuinely made our experience wonderful and turned what could have been an ordinary visit into a memorable one. A very interesting place that is definitely worth visiting — not only for the food, but also to immerse yourself in its unique atmosphere and artistic character.

Fantastic upscale restaurant nestled into the bedrock beside St Peter’s cathedral! Love the contemporary art woven throughout the restaurant! The vibrant orange, navy blue and aquamarine blue colours give the place an eclectic atmosphere!! All the food was a phenomenal culinary experience!! Definitely a must try when you are in the Salzburg area. A shout out to Lilly, our wonderful server!! Her exceptionally service made our dining experience wonderful.

I reserved a table one month in advance because I heard this was one of the best restaurants in Salzburg and the oldest in the world. The best meal of my vacation and one of, if not the best meal of my entire life. Worth every Euro. I could barely suppress my joy while eating. The tafelspitz was extraordinary, the most tender beef, superb horseradish mayonnaise, excellent spinach puree. The bread with salted caramel butter was perfect. I could not think of anything that would make my dining experience better because it was already flawless, from the service to the food. I will spend the rest of my life chasing the feeling eating here gave me.

Flawless al fresco dining experience, from the welcome and service, to the well executed dishes. The tafelspitz was plated tableside, which added to the fun. We highly recpmmend the traditional Austrian souffle for dessert, a generous portion for 2-4 people, worth the 20-minute wait. The Thursday evening was a great time to enjoy the live band. Definitely a must while visiting Salzburg.

The oldest currently-operating restaurant in the world, speculated since before AD 803. We visited on a Friday evening without a reservation and were seated right away. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the Christmas atmosphere was wonderful. They also served welcome bread with salted caramel butter, and it was SO GOOD. We could have eaten a whole basket of it. We ordered: • Confit Leg of French Farm Duck (€38.90) Served with red cabbage, cranberry, pain perdu, and chestnuts. We absolutely loved the duck! Incredibly tender and flavorful, with all the sides complementing it perfectly. Highly recommended! • Wiener Schnitzel of Milk-Fed Salzburg Veal Saddle (€34.90) Served with parsley potatoes. It was well-prepared and nicely fried, and we enjoyed it. However, we found it a bit pricey for the portion size, as it wasn’t very filling. • Still water €8.2
